1966 VW Split Screen Walk Through – Custom Build – ‘Life long dream come true thanks to UK Sports Cars’

I would like to share my experience with Sam Clugston and the team at UK Sports Cars.

I owned two bay VW Campers in my twenties and it was a long held dream to own a fully restored split screen. 30 years later Sam and team made this dream come true.

They sourced and fully restored a beautiful T2 Split Screen from 1966 for me. The vehicle is just wonderful and the craftsmanship superb. However this is only really half the story. I don’t know much technically or mechanically about VW Campers and also I wasn’t able to get to the UK Sports Cars workshop in person. Sam gave me excellent advise throughout – engine, brakes, accessories, internal design (even down to where to get the curtains!). I trusted them completely and deservedly so. I would highly recommend to all.
