Lovely example of a mid sixties bus in sought after factory Right Hand Drive format. Bare metal restoration completed several years ago with photographic evidence showing extensive metal work completed to bring the bus to a high standard. All of the usual areas that can develop rust after 40-50 years of factory steel including the lower front valance, long side panel, sills, lower windscreen areas etc have been replaced professionally. Paintwork is now requiring some minor cosmetic improvements naturally where it has been used and enjoyed over the past few years, which is a good sign!
As we specialise in the restoration of these vehicles, we have decided the best route to proceed is to offer the bus for sale as it stands but with the option for us to repaint the bottom half of the vehicle to the customers choice. This gives the option of changing the colour to whatever colour choice you desire. A highly beneficial arrangement for the buyer as you get to buy the exact colour bus you would like knowing that the paintwork will be brand new and to a very high standard.
This bus is very unspoilt featuring stock suspension and mechanics, original wheels with correct commercial tyres, reconditioned 1500SP engine that will be removed, carefully prepared, freshly serviced and tested on the bench prior to collection as we do with every engine for further peace of mind. The same applies with a fresh 12 months MOT that we will put on the vehicle even though no longer required by law to give a third party independent inspection on this vehicle prior to delivery / collection.
Tasteful camping interior features a pleasant off white upholstery with fluted light green embellishments to sit resplendent with the exterior of the vehicle. Full width rock n’ roll bed, custom cabinet with large sink, twin gas burner and plenty of cupboard space. Again, we specialise in the restoration of these vehicles with a particular interest in the build and installation of bespoke camping interiors so we are able to offer a brand new alternative interior if this current one does not suit your preference or alternatively to make any modifications / additions to the current interior.
