1977 Volkswagen T2 Westfalia Berlin Deluxe ‘Bay Window’ Camper Van.

Superb example of this rare and sought after Berlin Deluxe Westfalia that has been owned locally to us by Volkswagen enthusiasts who have attended VW shows regularly in the bus over the past decade. This bus left the Hannover factory in Germany on 20th September 1977 and was supplied to San Francisco. The bus was later Imported into the UK. The chassis and body were rust free and the original Berlin deluxe interior remained in very original condition.
The bus comes with a birth certificate confirming provenance / authenticity from new including its original colour Dakota Beige. Reconditioned Remtec 1600cc engine installed with reconditioned ancillaries including an overhauled original German carburettor so that the engine runs exactly how it should do. The engine bay has been meticulously prepared and detailed by the previous owner who has cared for the bus very well indeed throughout his ownership. Original exterior Westfalia stickers / badges intact! (never seen this before). Lovely door shuts, the sliding door shuts like it is brand new.
Replacement pop top canvas recently fitted in factory specification (correct colour and material). Full width bunk ‘upstairs’ folds into a double bed and rock n’ roll style bed downstairs also folds down to make another small double bed making this bus a 4 berth.
Overall a truly lovely example throughout, a fantastic investment and a rare opportunity to purchase a bus that will no doubt continue to rise in value with years to come. Freshly serviced and MOT’d.
