Lotus Elan S3 FHC, 1967.  One owner since 1969 and one Squadron Leader in the Royal Airforce before him. The most original unrestored Elan S3 we have owned since my personal Elan S3 in 1977.    Never been resprayed or restored and delightful to drive with that original feel that you would only get from such a rare unrestored example. Original engine, wood-rimmed steering wheel fully working electric windows  and a lovely dash with the old fashioned period radio and so much more.  It has just passed it’s MOT with flying colours and we have just serviced the Elan and are now enjoying putting some mileage on the car.   We could repaint the Elan in its original Medici Blue colours (sometimes referred to as Baby Blue) in our new paint-shop but will give the new owner a choice of running it as it is with all of that history and patina or we can totally repaint it to an exacting standard.   There is a splendid diary in the service history file documenting the history with very fine detail which is a joy to read with that old-fashioned handwriting.  Original rare Lotus Elan Coupe Service Voucher Book and Owner’s handbook.  Massive history file with paperwork going back to when the Lotus was new and first owned by the Pilot Officer.  Fascinating history.  A very special Elan.
