Lotus Elan+2S130/5 Cabriolet, 1974. Fabulous example in Lotus Yellow with black Mohair soft-top. Back in the mid-Eighties Christopher Neil Sportscars the established Lotus specialists pioneered the Cabriolet version of the Elan Plus Two. Two other companies: Hexagon Motors in London and the Classic Transport Company in the Midlands made a few as well. This is one of the last of the C.N. Cabriolets in 1985 and it is in superb form. Spydersport Spaceframe chassis, rebuilt Big Valve twin-cam engine with high pressure oil-pump and tufrided crank, baffled sump, pre-engaged starter motor. Alan Voights rebuilt 5 Speed gearbox. New bearings in differential. Tony Thompson steel outboard shafts and Spyder competition driveshafts( 1 donut and 1 CV joint each side). Adjustable suspension. Spyder galvanised sill members. Beautiful original oatmeal interior with correct instruments and steering wheel. Refurbished Lotus alloys. A really great drive with a powerful and smooth engine throughout the rev range. Massive history files with invoices and MOT certificates going back 35 years. 4 New Tyres. Comes fully serviced and MOT’d (although not required by law).
