Lotus Elan+2S130/5 JPS Limited Edition, No.14 of 115, 1973. 44,800 miles from new! This special edition was introduced to celebrate the 50th F1 Grand Prix Victory and the striking colours match the Lotus F1 cars of the day. Sold by us in 1992 when it had done just 21,000 miles and then sold by us again in 2008. Incredible throughout with a fabulous oatmeal interior and fantastic dashboard with lovely original instruments which are all working including the clock and ambient temperature gauge. Original superb chassis with the visible original stamped chassis number on it. This is extremely rare as most chassis have been replaced, but this is a rare survivor. The chassis is exceptional and the driving sensation is sublime and reminiscent of the nearly new Plus Twos I used to drive in the Seventies. Superb history file with evidence of a new water-pump, alternator, starter motor, cooling fan, new brake discs/pads, electronic ignition, new rotoflex couplings, new sill members etc. with invoices totalling nearly £9,000 or work. Superb condition throughout with one of the best interiors we have ever seen in the recent past. Fabulous chrome-work. Original Philips Turnlock radio which would have been fitted by the supplying dealer when the car was new. This one even has the original Triplex sticker on the top-tint “Sundym” windscreen. This screen was an optional extra, as was the heated rear screen. In our opinion one of the best surviving JPS Plus Twos in existence and a real gem to drive and admire. MOT and tax fee exempt, but will come with a fresh MOT as that is how we like to prepare these valuable classics, along with a fresh service. Massive history file with MOT certificates dating back to the Seventies to verify the progression of the low mileage. Original Owner’s Handbook. This incredible example is a piece of Lotus history and is an absolute joy to drive.
