Engine freshened up in 2021 by Lotus specialist dealers. I was lucky to go to the launch of the Esprit Turbo in October 1980 and an Essex Esprit Turbo was present and the stunning F1 Lotus Essex driven by Elio de Angelis. It was amazing to drive a brand new Lotus Esprit Turbo over 40 years ago and this one is very much reminiscent of that experience. This is the real deal in terms of what a dynamic looking Esprit Turbo in the Essex Blue metallic with the red decals and the show-stopping dark red leather interior should look like.
