Lotus  Essex Esprit Turbo, 1981 (09/01/81).  No.17 of 22 Essex Turbos built according to Lotus Cars Ltd. after sales organisation in 1992 (see letter). Letter of Authenticity and Certificate of Provenance from the Lotus Archives.  I was fortunate go to the launch of the Essex Turbo in October 1980 in the presence of Elio De Angelis’s F1 car at the time in this all-time iconic colour scheme as used on the F1 cars in the day with the Essex Petroleum association with the factory’s F1 Team who sponsored Team Lotus.

This is an outstanding example with superb paintwork and stunning all red leather interior. Superb underside mechanics.  Original roof-mounted Panasonic stereo.  Massive history file including a copy of the original sales invoice from the supplying Lotus Main Dealers: Randles of Stoke-on-Trent in England.  Original split-rim Compomotive alloys.    Comes with original brochures and Owner’s Handbook with early dealer’s service stamps.   A fabulously rare part of Lotus history.
