Lotus Europa Twin-Cam Special, 5 Speed, 1975.  “THE LAST EUROPA EVER MADE”.   This is the last Europa to roll off the production line according to Roger Putnam CBE (2007) who was Sales Director for Lotus Cars Ltd. and joined Lotus in 1966.  Superb photos of Roger Putnam (Left) with Managing Director Mike Kimberly in 1976 in front of Mount Fuji when they both travelled to Japan to sell the latest Lotus product there: the Eclat.  Both dressed in tweed jackets and brown ties, which was in vogue in the Seventies and not unlike my dress sense in those days when I was driving my first Lotus!  Roger Putnam was a big player at Lotus and knew Colin Chapman very well.  There is a nice pictures of him with Colin and Margaret Thatcher!    Roger Putnam handed the Europa over to the next owner after he had enjoyed his time with it and told him that the Europa was the last one off the production line and the third to last chassis number (cars weren’t built in exact sequence).  He then went on to sell the car to the last owner in 1978 and he has had it since.  Full restoration completed in 2016 and virtually every component has been refurbished or replaced.  Engine was rebuilt by Vegantune and is an amazingly smooth engine with a very progressive power band throughout the rev range.  We are very fortunate to have acquired this rare example and in such fine condition.  Comes with a letter of authenticity from the Lotus Archives confirming that this Europa was a Lotus Company Car and allocated to Roger Putnam. Beautiful condition throughout.  Comes fully serviced and MOT’d (although MOT exempt and not required by law).   A unique opportunity to acquire a piece of Lotus history. Delivery Worldwide.
