Lotus Excel SE, 1990. Monaco White with Leather and Norfolk Tweed interior. Just 51,000 miles with a good service history and old MOT certificates to support the mileage of around 1,600 miles per annum. Drives superbly with the outstanding Lotus engineered power steering. Superb smooth engine with an equally impressive gearbox. The later Excel SE is the one to have and are becoming hard to find with this sort of mileage and condition. Electric windows and mirrors, adjustable steering column and other Lotus refinements. I personally ran a white Excel SE of the same vintage for over a year as everyday transport and it was a fantastic experience. Masses of room in the boot and space in the back for two trim passengers. I took one around Brands Hatch on a rapid track day many years ago and the handling was very poised and predictable and bags of fun. A real Lotus classic that can be used on a regular basis or just for those special occasions. An exceptional example. Comes fully serviced and MOT’d.
